KaramChetre is a task management and productivity Chrome extension designed to help users organize tasks, prioritize work using structured workflows such as the Eisenhower matrix, manage projects, and synchronize task data across sessions.

This Privacy Policy explains what information KaramChetre collects, how that information is used, and how it is protected.

1. Information We Collect

KaramChetre may collect and process the following categories of information:

a) Personally Identifiable Information

When a user signs in with Google, KaramChetre may access basic account information such as the user's name, email address, and unique account identifier, as provided through the authentication process.

b) Authentication Information

KaramChetre uses Google Sign-In and related authentication tokens to securely authenticate users and associate their data with the correct account.

c) User-Created Content

KaramChetre stores information created by the user within the extension, such as tasks, task status, project details, priority settings, delegation metadata, and related productivity data.

2. How We Use Information

KaramChetre uses collected information only for the extension's core purpose, including:

- authenticating users

- linking tasks and projects to the correct user account

- saving and synchronizing user data across sessions

- enabling reporting, previews, and related task management features

- supporting extension reliability, local caching, and sync state handling

3. Storage and Processing

KaramChetre may use:

- browser local storage or extension storage for local persistence, session state, and temporary cached data

- Firebase Authentication for sign-in

- Firebase Firestore and related Google/Firebase services for secure cloud synchronization and storage

4. Host Permissions and Network Access

KaramChetre connects only to the Google and Firebase services needed for authentication and cloud synchronization. These connections are used solely to support the extension's functionality and not to access unrelated browsing data.

5. Tabs Usage

KaramChetre may open internal extension pages, such as report preview pages, in a browser tab to allow users to view, print, or save reports as PDF. KaramChetre does not use this capability to inspect arbitrary websites or collect browsing history.

6. Alarms Usage

KaramChetre may use background alarms to trigger periodic checks related to sync state, refresh signals, task-related status updates, and extension reliability.

7. Remote Code

KaramChetre does not load or execute remote code. All executable code used by the extension is packaged within the extension. External network requests are used only for data exchange with Google and Firebase services.

8. Data Sharing

KaramChetre does not sell user data.

KaramChetre does not transfer user data to third parties except where required to provide its core functionality through service providers such as Google and Firebase.

KaramChetre does not use or transfer user data for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, or lending purposes.

9. Data Retention

User data is retained only as long as necessary to provide the extension's functionality, maintain synchronization, and support the user experience, unless the user removes the data or stops using the service.

10. Security

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect user data and authentication flows. However, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Children's Privacy

KaramChetre is not intended for use by children under the age required by applicable law to consent to online services without parental or guardian involvement.

12. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect improvements, operational changes, legal requirements, or updates to the extension's features. The latest version posted at this page will be the governing version.
